Seven Oaks Settlers History Learning Day for students in Grade 5 to Grade 7 presented by Manitoba Living History Society and Seven Oaks House Museum

MORNING SESSION: 9:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.

AFTERNOON SESSION: 12:15 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Visit Seven Oaks House where John Inkster and his family lived

Speak with the people of the Fur Trade and the early Settlement era (1812 – 1845)

Bring you cameras and take pictures of your students dressed in period clothing

Travel back in time and see how things were done.

PLEASE NOTE:

 It is important that your group arrives on time for orientation and to be able to visit each station
 Students should be in groups of 15 for each station: If possible please have students divided into groups prior to arriving
 Each school group must be accompanied by an adult supervisor (Teacher, Education Assistant, Parent)
 Teachers are responsible for student behaviour at all times and must not leave students unattended
 Your students are ambassadors for your school
 Program will happen Rain or Shine. Dress appropriately for the weather No cancellation rain date – one day only
 Seven Oaks House Museum and Manitoba Living History Society are not responsible for any loss of articles or injury on site
